The objective of the Biogas Project is to create a pilot plant that will Anaerobically digest food waste from the dining halls to produce methane gas and fertilizer. The methane gas can be used to heat buildings and heat wiater and the fertilizer can be used local farms which will ultimately reduce energy costs and waste disposal costs.
